JMK, Inc. Quality Clauses
The following list of clauses are to be added to purchase orders as appropriate in order to flow down requirements from a customer to a supplier.
A. Special instruction Welding: Welding inspection by a qualified CWI inspector is required. The units are to be delivered with a certificate of conformance signed by that inspector as indicated below:
A1. Aluminum Welds: A signed certification by a CWI inspector verifying that enclosure was
welded per the requirements of AWS D17.1, Class “B”, VT and PT per AWS D17.1,
Class “B”. This certification is by serialized units and each unit is to be certified.
A2. Steel Welds: A signed certification by a CWI inspector verifying that enclosure was
welded per the requirements of AWS D17.1, Class “C”, VT per AWS D17.1, Class “C”.
This certification is by lot.
B. Source inspection: Source inspection by JMK quality assurance is required. JMK is to be notified when the parts are ready for source inspection.
C. Certificate of conformance: A signed certificate of conformance is required verifying that the parts built or supplied meet the requirements of the applicable JMK or supplier drawing.
D. Special processes: A signed certificate of conformance to the applicable specification is required for all plating, painting, soldering or other special processes as listed on the PO or specification.
E. Electrostatic Discharge: The supplier shall have an Electrostatic Discharge program that meets the requirements of MIL-STD-1686.
F. Calibration: The supplier shall maintain a calibration program that certifies that all test equipment used in production of JMK parts is calibrated and traceable to the National Bureau of Standards.
G. Foreign Objects: The Supplier shall have, in operation, a Foreign Object Program that assures JMK that there are no foreign objects or debris in or attached to the units being delivered to JMK.
H. Soldering: Soldering shall be performed in accordance with IPC/EIA –J STD-001, class 2. The supplier shall be able to provide objective evidence and certifications that the personnel working on the JMK product are certified to the required specification.
I. Cabling: All cables and wire harness assemblies shall meet the requirements of IPC 620. The supplier shall be able to provide objective evidence and certifications that the personnel working on the JMK product are certified to the required specification.
J. First Article inspection: A First Article Inspection (FAI) shall be performed on the first part or article representative of the production configuration. The inspection shall be in accordance with the most current version of AS9102. The forms used are to be the current revision of the AS9102 forms,
K. Quality system: The supplier shall maintain a Quality system based on MIL-I-45208A or in compliance with ISO 9001, SAE-AS9100 or other documented Quality system.
L. Government Source Inspection (GSI): This order is subject to (GSI) and or Customer Source Inspection (CSI). Access to the facilities and to all applicable records related to this order shall be provided. The supplier is responsible for coordinating the required inspection.
M. Material Certification: A signed Material certification is required for all raw material used on this purchase order.
